We Gather Tonight
Thank you for being flexible with your calendars. I am looking forward to our call tonight. We will be taking a look at the shadow of the Warrior Archetype and how it shows up in our Iives.
You can look here for our earlier reflection on The Shadow of the Warrior. Come with a sense of how these shadows tend to manifest in your own life. Let’s share our stories with each other. Let’s keep nurturing the space of trust, healing, witnessing and becoming better.
As we think about the shadow, it is good to consider what it is that keeps us in the light of the right path.
We always start our calls with a grounding, and with this same quote:
Commitment is an act, not a word. Further, I would argue that commitment eventually becomes not even an act, but a state of being. It’s not a thing you do; it’s who you are. To be fully committed is to allow yourself to be shaped by what you are committed to and, eventually, to become one with it.
- Patricia Albere
The authors of King, Warrior, Magician, Lover say that: “the psyche of the man who is adequately accessing the Warrior is organized around his central commitment. This commitment eliminates a great deal of human pettiness.”
What is your central commitment? What is your Warrior’s North Star?
See you tonight,
Gibrán
