Volatility & Uncertainty
tl;dr: An invitation to join us in my next talk on Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity.
Wow! Thank you so much for your enthusiastic reception to my talk on the Post-Liberal World Order. I have rarely been met with such resonance. Your feedback is helpful and encouraging.
Get to the talk, if you have not done so yet. And if you already heard it, and liked it, think of someone specific to share it with. We are overwhelmed by an infinity pool of content. It is harder and harder to tell what is signal from what is noise. We rely upon each other to curate the good stuff. So if you think this stuff is good, share it with that specific someone who will resonate with what we are up to.
I did promise you that we would re-do my talk on Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity. It was well received and well attended the first time around. It was a great conversation. Your participation was gold. BUT! We were not happy with the video. So we are going to do it again.
Together, we are in a process of sitting with the question:
Where do we go from here?
I like how Alexander Beiner put it:
If we thought we knew the answer, we’d be lying to ourselves. And if we definitely knew the answer, we’d already be there.
So mine is an invitation for us to grapple with the reality of this moment. Many of you who have worked with me over the years have reached out to thank me. You’ve told me that frameworks I've shared, and the experiences we've had together, are helping you turn towards the volatility and uncertainty of what is unfolding.
Your words have encouraged me to make some videos to share these frameworks and ideas more broadly. We want to share what’s most useful as we navigate these challenging times.
I am inviting you to join me because your participation, your insights and your questions as part of what make these work.
Join us.
Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity (VUCA)
On Friday, April 25 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM East
If you have already worked with me, this one will feel more like a review. If you have not been in organizational or movement space with me, this will be an introduction to the foundational frameworks that define my approach to work and life #inthesetimes.
I will introduce the Evolutionary Leadership Framework. And then go on to talk about this paradigm shift and what it takes to live and thrive in times of VUCA.
I look forward to our coming together.
