Your Place on the Throne

Let’s close our reflection on the archetype of the King. [First timers are welcomed! We’ll catch you up.]

Before you show up tonight, give some thought to the kings that show up in our imagination.

When you think of a king, do you think about kings in human history? Are there kings in the realms of fantasy that hold a place in your imagination? How about kings in the religious and mystical realms?

We think of kings, their success and their power, their legends, their failures, overthrows and their evil deeds. We think of thrones and the struggles for these thrones.

Bring some of these kings into our conversation today. Either idealized or complicated, the good and the just, but also the bad.

And we’ll get into what these imaginings say about that King archetype that is a part of each of us. We’ll talk about the throne that is held at the very core of our hearts. And we’ll talk about what it takes to become men with dignity to have a seat on that throne.

See you in a bit,

Gibrán

PS Here is something fun I got from one of you… my friend says he likes our approach better!
